COMMERCIAL & RETAIL / INTERNATIONAL PROJECTS

Your specification.
A clearer route to supply.

Lighting supply for large retail and commercial projects, refurbishments and multi-site rollouts. Our team builds a proposal around your approved design, project priorities and programme.

Lighting value engineering.
Better value. Considered light.

Our team reviews layouts, specifications and sourcing options to identify better-value solutions against your lighting, quality and operational requirements. Compare purchase, installation, energy and maintenance costs together.

01

Start with the approved specification.

Establish the exact fittings, performance requirements, controls and installation details your project needs. We build the sourcing brief around the approved scheme, destination and delivery programme.

02

Assess alternatives on evidence.

Where an alternative is worth considering, compare the exact product data: light distribution, colour quality, glare, dimming, mounting and destination requirements. Show the differences clearly, including any missing evidence, rather than assuming two fittings are equivalent.

03

Compare the full project cost.

Look beyond unit price to landed and installed cost: freight, duties, quantities, installation work and access where known. Compare energy use against the actual baseline, operating hours and tariffs, alongside maintenance, spares and warranty terms. Keep assumptions visible.

04

Approve the choice before ordering.

Present the proposed product or change with its supporting information and any agreed samples. Substitutions require written approval from the client or appointed designer before procurement; quantities and delivery stages follow the approved package.

The right scope.
For the way you are delivering.

From one major refurbishment to a coordinated rollout, keep the product decisions and project programme connected.

01 / RETAIL & COMMERCIAL

Build from a clear brief.

Source against the approved lighting schedule for retail floors, showrooms, workplaces and shared commercial areas.

  • Specification-led sourcing & supply
  • Product and controls coordination
  • Samples and approval points
02 / REFURBISHMENT

Improve what matters.

Assess retained equipment, lighting performance and operating needs before proposing changes. Focus the review on decisions that can improve the project.

  • Existing installation and cost baseline
  • Targeted alternatives or design review
  • Phased work and access constraints
03 / MULTI-SITE ROLLOUT

Repeat an approved standard.

Agree a representative area or sample package, then coordinate the product schedule across locations while tracking site-specific differences.

  • Consistent product schedules
  • Approved samples and substitutions
  • Site quantities & delivery phases

Test the proposal.
Then make the decision.

Use lighting calculations where they answer a real project question.

01

Check distribution, levels and quantities.

When optics, layouts or fitting quantities change, a scoped lighting study can test the proposal against the brief. Calculations and false-colour maps help review light distribution and levels using the correct product data, geometry and stated assumptions.

02

Turn the evidence into an approval package.

Read the lighting study alongside samples, installation constraints and the cost comparison. Recommend optimisation where it adds value, with the original specification and proposed changes clearly distinguished for the client and design team.

BEFORE WE BEGIN

Project questions.

Can we appoint PHENRA for supply only?

Yes. We can work from your existing approved lighting design or specification. Design-only and combined appointments are also available; the proposal reflects the support you actually need.

Will every project need a new lighting design?

We start with the information already approved. A targeted calculation or design review is proposed when it can resolve a specific issue, validate a change or support a useful comparison.

How are savings and performance compared?

Any comparison uses the defined scope and available evidence: actual installed quantities, operating hours, energy tariffs, maintenance assumptions and the relevant product and warranty data. Estimates are identified as estimates; results depend on the chosen products and real operating conditions.

Can your team stay involved during installation?

Installation follow-through remains an optional addition to a design-only or combined appointment. Reviews, site visits and commissioning support are agreed in the proposal, alongside the appointed local contractors and specialists.
